A courier firm that answers the phone
Seven years of same day transport from Manchester, built on repeat work rather than one-off jobs.
HFU Enterprise started with one van and a simple observation. Most courier complaints are not about speed. They are about not being told what happened.
So the desk is staffed by people who can make a decision. If a collection is going to be late, you hear it from us before the customer does. If a load will not fit the van we sent, we send the right one and argue about the price later, not at the doorstep.
Seven years on, the work is mostly repeat. Trade counters with a daily run. Retailers who need stock moved between sites. Hauliers who need a local leg covered when their own driver runs out of hours. Same day, overnight, pallet, and the occasional export that needs the paperwork checked twice.
We are not the cheapest quote you will get today. We are the one that still picks up when the job changes at four in the afternoon.
Four habits that keep the work coming back
One desk
You speak to the people who book the vans. No call centre script, no ticket number.
Fixed windows
We quote a window we can hold. If it slips, you hear it early.
Right vehicle
Four classes means we are not improvising with the wrong van.
Paper back same day
Proof of delivery lands before the invoice does.
The depot
Based in Manchester, with the same day desk running from 07:00 on weekdays. Vehicles are loaded and checked here rather than at a third party yard, which is why a late change is a conversation rather than a form.
Out of hours work is arranged in advance. If you need a Saturday run or an early Sunday collection, ask on Friday rather than at midnight.
